자기 소개

My name is Josh Putnam. I grew up in Utah, in the US. I always find these self introductions to be. bit awkward. What do people want to know about me? I was born in the 80s. I didn't go to college. I love music and movies. I have worked in film and video production for the last several years. Mostly as an editor. But I've done some writing and producing and even a little bit of acting. Not good acting, to be sure. But I gave it a go.

When I was a kid I wanted to be a writer. And that dream stuck with me through high school. And then slowly that passion turned into stress. So much stress that I just couldn't push myself to do it. For several years. Which has always been a bit of a regret.

But lately I have been feeling the call again. To pick up a pen (well, metaphorically. A computer, really) and try again.

So I'm starting a blog.

We'll see how it goes.

One more thing about me because it will be a major theme of this blog. In fact, you've certainly already encountered it here on the site. I am in love with Korea.

I started learning Korean in 2022 because, well, it's a long story. Which I'm sure I'll turn into a blog post soon. But I really quickly fell in love. With the language, the people, the culture. And now I am obsessed. There is so much depth and wisdom and beauty that I have found in Korea and I want to share that as much as I can.

So I will do that here.

But I really want to improve my writing and I really want to create and cultivate connection. So please reach out to me. Leave comments or send messages. Leave feedback (constructive, please).
